This apartment is a two bedroom, two bath on three levels. Both beds are queens, so it is a good apartment for couples. The main floor has a small kitchen with oven, stove, dishwasher, and all the dishes and pans you would need (although curiously no silverware). The main room has a dining table with six chairs and a sitting area with a couch and three chairs. This room also has french doors that open onto a small balcony. It is decorated in a sort of French country style.
The upper bedroom is all windows on two sides. It is a beautiful view of many major sites, including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Sacre Couer, and the tops of Pompidou Center and Notre Dame. There are shades to lower to keep out the sun. You can lay in bed at night and watch the Eiffel Tower twinkle. The bed is futon-style, and a bit hard. There is also a nice-sized terrace here, with a table and six chairs. The bathroom is a good size and has a shower, but a word of warning: the sliding door to the bathroom has glass panels, and is directly across from the toilet. Hard to explain, just know that it can be a bit revealing.
The lower bedroom is a bit larger, with a desk and library wall. The bed is a traditional one, and is more comfortable than the upper floor bed. The bathroom here has a clawfoot tub. The one drawback of the apartment is the spiral staircase, which was a bit rickety and very noisy. You could always tell when someone was on the stairs, especially when trying to sleep in the morning. Kelley also slipped down the stairs once in the morning.
The apartment is located on Rue de Seine, about halfway between Blvd St Germain and the Seine. The street is a one way, in an upper-scale neighborhood with lots of art galleries and cafes in the area.
Would We Stay Here Again? Sure.
