This hotel is located in the Mission Beach area-near Sea World and other attractions. It’s a 10-15 minute drive to downtown San Diego. Whether or not the location is good depends on what you want to do. We were okay with it, but we would probably stay in another area if we were to visit again.
Construction was going on in the pool area during our stay. Noise was not really a problem, but a lot of the outside areas were blocked off. It is finished now, though, and looks quite nice in pictures. It’s a bit difficult to rate the public areas since it is probably much nicer looking now than during our stay.
The room itself had been renovated-it was a typical nice Hyatt room. Beds were comfy. There was a small balcony with chairs but the view itself was only so-so.
Breakfast for two was included in the rate. The hotel was nice enough to extend it to the third person in our room. Breakfast was served in a nice gazebo room with indoor and outdoor seating and included omelets and waffles.
Would We Stay Here Again? We would probably want to stay in another location.
