Hotels in Hiroshima were hard to come by for the Saturday we were there, so our options were limited.  We chose the Granvia mostly for access to the train station.  We stayed in a standard double room; small, but not too bad, with typical mid-range hotel decor.  As usual the lobby is much nicer than the rooms.  The bathroom was a pre-fab.  The bed was too firm for me, but the pillows were great -memory foam and feather/down- and made up for the bed.

The hotel’s location in Hiroshima Station, while convenient to the shinkansen, is on the opposite side of the station to the sights.  With a JR pass you may cut through the station, but without the pass it would be a pain to get around.  Street cars and buses are an easy way to take to the sights, and the most popular sights are within reasonable walking distance from one another. However, we decided we would rather have stayed somewhere a bit more central.

Would We Stay Here Again? No
